outcomes
The most precious Outcomes of SCIF Summits are security insiders’ and investors’ personal insights into the growth opportunities at the convergence of the physical cyber and intelligence industries.
SCIF Summits are restricted to founders of Security, Cyber, and Intelligence companies, CISOs and CSOs, qualified investors, and deal advisors. SCIF Summits are off-the-record and curated to be “noise free”. There are no booths, no banners, no badges, and no biz dev teams.

SFO ‘26 Program & Outcomes
SCIF SFO ’26 was a half-day program with panels on:
Investor/portco roundtable on security deal trends and founder perspectives on fundraising environment
Cyber-physical risk convergence
CISO/CSO roundtable & leadership scaling strategies
Innovation & growth opportunities
Cybersecurity investment insights.
Eight pitches were presented, and networking occurred throughout the day.
A Priority at Board Level
Boards are pushing back against executive teams’ bad security habits. The old ways of business leaders de-prioritizing, end-running, and avoiding security are over. Personal safety of the c-suite and cyber risk and geopolitics are now too important for board acquiescence. This is driving spending, supported by new rules from regulators.
Most Trust Wins
At the SCIF SFO ’26, successful founders, elite investors, and seasoned CISOs and CSOs each shared their secrets for building trust.
SCIF SFO ’26 identified the critical importance of trust to premium multiples. Trust is the only distribution channel in security that scales without incremental CAC. For investors, analysis of best-case TAM scenarios is tested by how many points within an organization will trust the vendor. Worst-case analysis is informed by impacts from loss of trust.
Corporate Security Is One Market
Executive management and boards do not think of physical security, cyber, and intelligence as separate items; they converge them. Presenters at the SCIF SFO ’26 included investors and CISOs and CSOs. They spoke repeatedly about how founders who still pitch purely within one silo are already behind the curve.
Prevention of Burnout & Crisis
Within the Security Cyber and Intelligence universe, the trend is for corporations to find ways to reduce the number of overlapping tools used, and to focus on reducing the toll of exhaustion amongst their human analysts. The focus is on reducing burnout. How security solutions address burnout has broad potential in the AI-era. The most potential value is cutting alert volume, collapsing consoles, and broadly giving employees their humanity back by focusing on prevention. While there is still a bias against spending on prevention, the measurement of security risks is becoming much more mature, and SCIF SFO ’26 attendees reinforced the importance of data moats.
AI Security Is a Market
2025 wasn’t “AI inside security tools”; it was the birth of AI security as a standalone category. Hundreds of millions flowed into startups that secure models, agents, and AI data paths, while strategics spent billions on AI security. At SCIF SFO ’26, presenters offered their private views on how AI security is emerging as an essential component of new infrastructure investments, creating new opportunities.

GENESIS
SCIF Summits originally emerged to fill a major gap in the security conference circuit. There are far too many specialized conferences that reinforce silos. Industry conventions are rarely impactful and usually a waste of executive leaders’ time. Meanwhile, the financial community has not concentrated on the sector as it has on others, such as healthcare. Broad market shifts made the timing right for a conference series.
SCIF Summits are successful because they are supported by industry evangelists who understand the force multiplying power of bringing together networks of networks. They are organized by a security industry insider with decades of experience. SCIF Summits embrace entrepreneurs at professional services firms and technology companies, who are the backbone of the industry. CISOs and CSOs are included as potential future board and venture advisors, not as marketing targets. The cadence of events is designed to provide investors access to deal flow and up-to-date market insights.
